Abstract:
The aim of this work is to show that optical trapping is possible with speckles. Following it will be demonstrated with what kind of parameters anomalous diffusion can be tuned in an experimental setup. For that sub- and superdiffusion is investigated depending on the strength of the traps and the characteristic time in which the speckles change their dynamics. At the end these experimental results are compared with the results obtained from simulations and conclusions about the motion of Brownian particles in speckle light fields can be done. This provides then a solid base model supported by simulations and expert ments, which could be later applied on the motion of living biological material e.g. bacteria.
A laser is focused into a multi mode fibre to generate a random speckle light pattern in which microparticles are being trapped inside.
